Tasting notes: Winemaker Tim Kerruish is originally from Ballasalla in the Isle of Man - hence the name. The Ballasalla Pinot Noir is made in an earlier drinking, juicer style than the estate cuvees, yet with the same care and attention: picking only the best grapes by hand, using sheep to keep the grass and weeds down and a touch of Fran Freres oak to round of the wine. Lots of vibrant kirsch fruit with a soft, silky mouthfeel.
